InfluenceMEDIUM

Vaughan has described Saga as the collision of Star Wars with Romeo and Juliet, and the Star Wars half supplies the universe: a galaxy at endless war between two blocs, a species-diverse cast where nobody comments on anyone's anatomy, bounty hunters as a recognised profession, and technology that is filthy and improvised. What Saga does with it is put a nursing infant at the centre and let the war be the thing interrupting a family, rather than the other way round.

About the work

SAGA

This is a series.

SAGA is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the worlds. When two soldiers from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old universe. Fantasy and science fiction are wed like never before in a sexy, subversive drama for adults.
